Network of Lines

Network of Lines is Tilman's debut album performed by a nine piece electro-acoustic ensemble of Melbourne's finest musicians. Written in response to the Italo Calvino novel If On a Winter's Night a Traveller, Network of Lines derives its form from the novel's unique narrative structure.

Co-commissioned by APRA and the Melbourne Jazz Fringe Festival in April 2012, this work has been performed live in a number of settings and is now available through the Listen/Hear Collective. For more information regarding this work and its inception, check out this interview with Extemporé/AustralianJazz.net's Miriam Zolin.

Network of Lines was launched at the Melbourne Recital Centre's Salon on 11 February 2014 to a sold out crowd and nominated for two 2014 Australian Bell Awards, the APRA/AMC Work of the Year, and a Music Victoria Genre Award for Best Album.
